We’re Celebrating!
Have you noticed the changes around here? Aren’t they so great?! We are celebrating! June 1st is GrammieChats one year Blogiversary!! I can hardly believe it. It’s been an incredibly rewarding year of discovery, expression, and growth.
Spring 2018, I found myself working with a web designer and frantically writing foundation content for GrammieChats. Posts like The Day I Met Stache, The Tale Of An Accidental Mother, and Welcome to Grammie Day 2018 were all soon edited and complete.
Then Stache and I took a big ol’ three week trip to California and Colorado in the middle of preparations. As far as Blog launching is concerned, let’s just say the decision to travel in the midst of it all, – was nuts!!
The extended family we visited were repeatedly asked to ‘sit down and listen’ as I read and reread posts I wrote while traveling. The poor dears tolerated me well enough. If I read My Hope or My Titus 2 Godsends to my sister twice, I read them at least ten times more ’til they were ‘right.’ Love suffers long like that, don’t’ you agree (Lol!)?
GrammieChats Aspires To Serve
GrammieChats is an intended online community. It is a personal blog where I share the things God has done and is doing in my life for the purpose of inspiration, encouragement, and counsel for any woman who might want it. Whether practical, spiritual or cooking up family favorites, GrammieChats is meant to serve.
A blog’s reach and recognition are dependent on a variety of continuous promotion. I’ve found this aspect of blogging to be a rather daunting process to work through. Those of you willing to consistently give sincere, discerning responses to the blog content and it’s supporting social media are invaluable to me! I am honored by your help. Thank you!!!
Have I mentioned the highest ranking post of the year? I’ll give you the top three. The highest ranking was a personal conviction piece that I conceived one morning in the shower, eight months before posting. “Too Cool For Jesus” was not only a particular challenge for myself but a labor of love for any and all to consider.
Second place has been hotly contested and recently bumped by “How To Create A Post-Baby Mini-Retreat For Your Daughter, Sister, Or Friend.” This post is precious and practical. It also brought along a unique opportunity to collaborate and chat with a new friend on a podcast called Moms, Coffee, and Chaos.
Until early May 2019, GrammieChats third most popular post held first place for over nine months! “From Home to Friendly’s, to Zarzuela’s, to The Marriott, The Ovation, a quick stop at Jigg’s, and Back Home Again!” was great fun to experience and write. This review was noticed and mentioned by a Marshall, MI newspaper, where Zarzuela’s is located. Their acknowledgment gave the post a broad reach I greatly appreciated!

I’ve been saving a few announcements for GrammieChats blogiversary celebration. Stache has bought us all a gift! This next year, my new recipes will come with nutritional information added!
