Shepherd's Pie

Comfort food at it's best! The thing about Shepherds Pie is, it's a tasty way to use up what you have on hand. I tend to craft it a bit more but you don't need to. Follow the general recipe in equal amounts and you'll soon create your own

Ingredients

Potato Topping

  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold Rinsed and trimmed.
  • 1/3 cup Half and Half
  • 2 Sprigs Fresh Rosemary
  • 3 ounces Butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 Egg Yolks separated. Use egg whites in another recipe.

Meat And Veggie Filling

  • 2 Tablespoons Avocado Oil
  • 1 whole Onion Peeled and diced small
  • 2 whole Fresh Carrots Peeled and diced small
  • 2 cloves Fresh Garlic Peeled and minced
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 pound Ground Pork
  • 1 pound chub Sagey Breakfast Sausage
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 Tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Diced Tomatoes use the juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1/2 cup Fresh or Frozen Cut Corn
  • 1/2 cup Petite Peas
